It seems Salman Khan's new year resolution is to forgive and forget! He has been on a hugging spree lately. He recently surprised everyone when he congratulated Shah Rukh Khan on Chennai Express success at an awards show that he was hosting. He also met very warmly with Abhishek Bachchan. And now we hear that he has hugged his former girlfriend Katrina Kaif. 
According to a report in a tabloid website, Salman and Katrina happened to be at a studio where the Bollywood star was present for the launch of the first look of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's movie Oh Teri and Katrina had come for a commercial shoot. Salman reportedly met her there, greeting her with a warm hug. Good going, Salman!
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who was injured on Thursday on the sets of Happy New Year, has been advised complete rest as his injury is far from minor, as reported earlier. A source told IANS that Khan went back to the hospital for more tests on Thursday night following which it came out that his injuries were not minor. "Shah Rukh went through fresh set of tests last night post the shoot for the injuries he incurred on the sets while shooting yesterday. His right shoulder is fractured and left knee patella is torn. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest for the next two-three weeks," the source told the news agency. 
The Bollywood Badshah was rushed to Nanavati Hospital after suffering an injury on the sets of his forthcoming film Happy New Year. Directed by Farah Khan, the film, which is heavy on dance sequences, saw the actor injured himself while shooting at JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu early on Thursday. Initial reports state that the actor was shooting for a dance sequence when a door fell on him and he hurt his face and head. Shah Rukh received a standing ovation for his professionalism from the cast and the crew of 'Happy New Year' as after taking medicines, he returned to the set for shoot. Good friend and filmmaker Farah Khan cancelled the shoot. The actor took to Twitter after the accident, "Have a few tests to do & Insha Allah all will be good.Few scars maybe. Will show them off cos as they say there r no scars for happiness." Happy New Year is an ensemble film which also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. It is slated to release during Diwali.
Superstar Salman Khan today said he was interested in larger-than-life films and not in "small-scale" ones. Salman, whose potboilers 'Wanted', 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard', 'Ek Tha Tiger' did well at Box Office, has also acted in films like 'Phir Milenge' among others. He will be doing a special song in his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's home production film ' Oh Teri'. "As an actor, I don't want to do such kind of (small) films. If someone asks me to do such kind of films again then I might do a guest appearance in it. These are beautiful films but one will watch it on DVD or on TV but not go to theatre," Salman said at the trailer launch of 'Oh Teri'. 
The actor said he was happy doing larger-than-life stuff. "I will continue to do such films", he added. The trailer of 'Oh Teri' will be played along with Salman's 'Jai Ho' releasing today. "It (Oh Teri) is a lovely film. I liked the humour... the plot of this film. It is a relevant film in today's time", the actor said. 'Oh Teri', produced by Atul Agnihotri, stars Pulkit Samrat and Sarah Jane Dias in the lead. Salman, known for launching newcomers like Katrina Kaif, Zarine Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah to name a few, has given a break to actor Bilal. "I believe in giving chance to newcomers but sometimes my choices have gone wrong too", he quipped.
The stage is set for Salman Khan's "Jai Ho", his first release of the year. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh is confident that it will cross the Rs.300-crore-mark while Amod Mehra says though a bumper opening is assured, reaching Rs.200 crore could be "a Herculean task". Directed by Salman's brother Sohail, the film that focuses on corruption will hit more than 5,000 screens Friday. Producer Vashu Bhagnani, who still remembers "the stupendous opening" that his film with Salman "Biwi No.1" got, is confident that "'Jai Ho' would definitely open very well". "Salman has the full public support. His ardent fan-base would definitely go see the film. It should cross the 300-crore mark specially seeing the number of screens it's being released on," he added. 
In the last couple of years, Salman has hardly failed to impress the audiences and as a result most of his films such as "Dabangg", "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Dabangg 2" became blockbusters. "I saw the film at a trial. Both the pre and post interval halves have that jolt that makes you sit up and watch when you are least expecting any kind of upheaval. That is the USP. Salman's presence is 'ekdum dhamaakedar'," said another trade expert who doesn't want to be named. "My verdict. It'd be bigger than 'Ek Tha Tiger', but not as big as 'Dabangg'. Eros would find it hard to recover the money they paid Sohail for the film," he added. Taran Adarsh: "'Jai Ho' should open very, very well, thanks to Salman's star power and also his absence from the screen for an entire year. The craze for the film is building up with each passing day. As far as making Rs.300 crore goes, that would depend entirely on the strength of the content." Amod Mehra: "As Salman is enjoying such a huge fan-following, a bumper opening is assured. However, the promos and music are dull. Reaching Rs.200 crore may prove to be a Herculean task."
