Fun moments with Salman Khan at Star Guild Awards 2014

Actor Salman Khan who was hosting the Star Guild Awards last evening, made it quite an evening for everyone to remember. In fact, we can't remember the last time we laughed so much. Read on to see what he was upto.

Opening line:

When Manoj Kumar came on-stage to present Lifetime Achievemnt Award Salim Khan, and later took a chair and at on stage:

"Sohail often calls dad Salim Khan Vicky Donor when people praise us for our good looks ."

When Bhaag Milkha Bhaag got Best story:

He asked Prasoon Joshi to run and come to collect his trophy.

To Bipasha Basu:

Salman asked Bipasha to say some dialogue since she has come to present the Best Dialogue award.

"If Deepika were cast in a documentary film, the film would still do a business of Rs. 200 crore!"

"Say 'bokwaas' dialogue from Chennai Express".

"You were not supposed to be in the film (Race 2) na? You wanted to back out na?"

To Karan Johar:

"Will you have coffee with me again?"

Excerpts from 'Sherbet with Salman' or Salman's turn to pull Karan Johar's leg:

Salman to Karan Joha: "Abhi tak shaadi kyun nahin ki?"

Karan: "I am also a virgin, technically!"

Karan then added that he'll tell him what technically meant, backstage!

Salman: "Interviews kiske lena pasand karte ho - ladkon ke ya ladkiyon ke?"

Karan: "As a host, I swing both ways."

He then congratulated SRK on Chennai Express' success.

He then asked SRK to raise his hand and say 'Jai Ho'.

"You have 2 minutes to do timepass because lighting ka kuch problem chal raha hai!"

"Aamir bhi aa jata toh kitna accha hota."

"Till then do whatever you want to do man!"

"Chalo guys ghar jao, apni biwi bachchon ke paas! Good night."

This for real, Salman, Shah Rukh hug at Star Guild Awards! See pics

The Star Guild Awards 2014, held last evening, turned out to be quite a starry affair considering Bollywood's biggest stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan kept their differences aside and decided to hug it out! You read that right.

According to our reporter at the venue, all eyes were trained on the two sides of the court - Salman on the stage (since he was hosting), and Shah Rukh Khan walking in towards the seating area. Once SRK was seated, Salman couldn't resist saying, "Shah Rukh kya ho raha hai?"

He then went on to congratulate Shah Rukh on the success of Chennai Express. Shah Rukh wasn't far behind either in this game of who's-the-most-courteous, and immediately responded with a wave, acknowledging Salman's compliment.

But Salman didn't stop there. He even asked Shah Rukh to say Jai Ho, in keeping with the former's upcoming movie with the same title. And soon enough, sweet Shah Rukh raises his hand in response.

And as the evening progressed, Salman even paused to say that he preferred 'performing' to 'hosting' adding, "Mujhe nahi pata tha main itna lamba segment host karunga. Ye sab inhone shuru kiya, Shah Rukh saab ne".

Soon enough, the evening came to point where Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh's 'Chennai Express' co-star presented him with the Entertainer of the Year award. This was one one of Bollywood's will-stop-your-moment when the two bigger than bigger stars, on the stage together at the time, decided to hug each other. And hug they did, much to the amazement and surprise of the crowd.

Shah Rukh, while accepting the award, said it 'feels special to get this award in the company of Salman who is one of the greatest entertainers the country has seen'.

This is the second hug the two shared, after their much-talked-about first hug at Congress leader Baba Siddique's Iftar party post a fight the two allegedly had at Salman's then girlfriend Katrina Kaif's party in 2008.

Does this mean that things are okay now, and the two are back to being friends? Or is it simply another case of Bollywood biggies being civil? Tell us what you think.

Bollywood changing, curvy damsels are in

Curvy actors are in vogue. The likes of Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi are the antithesis of the anorexic look, the so-called size-zero, once a fad in filmdom. The game changers have, by the sheer craft of their acting, managed to turn any perceived disadvantages of their figures into cinematic assets.

The list also includes successful names like Vidya Balan and Parineeti Chopra, who happily flaunt their curvaceousness and rule the roost.

Here's a list of successful voluptuous B-Town beauties:

Sonakshi Sinha

She weighed over 90 kg before she joined the film industry and shed 30 kg for her debut movie "Dabangg" with Salman Khan. Even after weight loss, she is not size zero. She has more or less maintained the same size and the broad framed girl is moving upwards on the success ladder, thanks to her acting skills. Unperturbed by the comments about her weight, the 26-year-old feels her films' success is enough to stop the wagging tongues.

Post her debut, she won appreciation for "Rowdy Rathore" and "Dabangg 2". In 2013, she had four releases and she is not even close to stopping. Her next will be Prabhudheva's "Action Jackson", which also stars Ajay Devgn, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Yami Gautam.

Vidya Balan

When frequently asked about her weight, Vidya once wondered if it had become a national issue! But not taking note of what others have to say about her body, the actress carries herself with confidence and has a swelling fan following, thanks to her talent. Versatility is her forte and her acting prowess never goes unnoticed. In fact, she liberally flaunted her curves in the 2011 "The Dirty Picture" and the film fetched her a National Award for best actress for playing sex siren Silk Smitha.

She will soon be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar in "Shaadi Ke Side Effects". "Bobby Jasoos" is another project that's keeping her busy at the moment.

Huma Qureshi

Daughter of restaurateur Saleem Qureshi, Huma is a self-proclaimed foodie. She is not interested in losing weight, but believes in staying fit. She also feels that her weight shouldn't be a roadblock in her Bollywood career. Quite true! After her impressive debut in "Gangs of Wasseypur", she is moving up on the success ladder. Pretty and talented, Huma recently won appreciation for her work in "Dedh Ishqiya".

Parineeti Chopra

Often tagged as "bubbly" and "livewire", the cousin of small-framed star Priyanka Chopra is far from being skinny. If she carries her role with ease, the "Ishaqzaade" star flaunts everything - from lehenga to off-shouldered outfit to peplum dress to a simple tee with jeans - with elan. She too is focussed on her acting abilities as well as her looks. Parineeti may no longer be the chubby girl of "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl", but she is far from being scrawny. In her forthcoming film "Hasee Toh Phasee", you can still spot the curves.

Sunny Leone

The Indo-Canadian adult movie star-turned actor, who made her Hindi movie debut with "Jism 2" in 2012, has been accepted with her curvy figure. She also topped the imagery downloads category in an annual survey. Sunny has proved that to don something as comfortable as summer-friendly dresses or minimal like bikini, you don't need to reduce to size zero. She is gradually making her name in the Hindi film industry. If she focussed on her acting skills in "Jackpot", with "Ragini MMS", she wants to spook the audiences.

Not doing any film with Aamir, says Deepika

Actor Deepika Padukone has denied reports of doing a film with Aamir Khan.

The industry is abuzz with rumours of Deepika pairing up with Aamir in a film to be produced by Excel Entertainment, a production house helmed jointly by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

"I would like to do a film with Aamir. There is nothing happening on that front right now. There is no such thing (on doing a film with Excel Entertainment)", Deepika told reporters at the Stardust cover launch event.

Deepika has already worked with biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and others. But she has a wish list of her own.

"I am looking forward to work with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan some day. I am hoping to tick mark that list," she said.

Presently, Deepika is doing her third film with Shah Rukh in 'Happy New Year'. And then in June she will begin shooting for Imtiaz Ali's film, starring Ranbir Kapoor.

She has finished shooting for Homi Adjania's 'Finding Fanny Fernandez' which will release in July.

"The script and role in this film was good. The transformation of me as an actress happened with 'Cocktail' that was Homi's film, so I was excited to do an English language film with him. Also I was getting to work with Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia," Deepika said.

In this film, Ranveer Singh too has a role.

"Yes, he is playing my husband in the film," she added.

Battle of the Babes Justified Edition: Joelle Carter vs Natalie Zea vs Amy Smart !

Battle of the Babes Justified Edition !!!

I actually know very little about Joelle Carter because outside of her role as Ava Crowder on "Justified," she hasn't had a role that's been memorable enough for my bank. But she is a pretty and strong blonde who has a justifiable motive for a lethal act, so there's that bit working for her Read More...

Why is Madhuri Dixit-Nene’s Dedh Ishqiya not working.

Why is Madhuri Dixit-Nene’s Dedh Ishqiya !!!

Everyone seemed eager to watch the dhak-dhak queen’s comeback to Hindi movies. But nobody is watching her first film after a seven-year break. What is the problem?

When we first heard that Abhishek Choubey was making Dedh Ishqiya with Madhuri Dixit-Nene in the lead, we were pretty thrilled about it. And then when we heard that various leading ladies were rejecting the role of Munia – finally played by Huma Qureshi – we were even more curious about it. Then the shoots began, as did the stories of how the various actors were delighted with their experience. Lots of fluffy stories came off the sets about how working with the gorgeous Madhuri was such a dream come true, what a fabulous film Dedh Ishqiya was, and more of the same thing over and Read More...

Jai Ho song Tumko toh aana hi tha: Salman Khan is madly in love with Daisy Shah!

Jai Ho song Tumko toh aana hi tha !!!!!

The Dabangg actor is in a never seen before romantic avatar

Salman Khan has romanced many heroines, but Jai Ho‘s latest song Tumko toh aana hi tha is something that you’ve never seen Sallu do before. Sallu might have refused to kiss his heroines, but after watching this song one will realise he does not need to kiss to make a scene or song romantic. Daisy Shah and Sallu are picturised in this sensuous romantic number that will remind you of the actor’s chemistry with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the song Aankhon ki gustakhiya from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Though both these songs have a different look and backdrop, this song from Jai creates a similar aura.. Read More ....

Sherlyn calls Rupesh Paul & his crew Ch***ya

Sherlyn calls Rupesh Paul

After sizzling seductress Sherlyn Chopra's parting her ways from her much anticipated project Kamasutra 3D war of words seems to be getting even nastier between movie's director Rupesh Paul and this stunning sex goddess.

The disaster began to take shape, when infuriated with Sherlyn's absence from Kamasutra 3D trailer launch, Rupesh raised questions about Sherlyn's professionalism and called her unprofessional while talking to a news daily.

Extending his allegations Rupesh even stated that he informed Sherlyn about the launch of the trailer much in advance, but she didn't even bother to inform him about her inability to be at the launch ceremony of Kamasutra 3D trailer and went ahead with the promotion of her music album BAD Read More....

Has Salman Khan moved on from his ex girlfriends Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif?

The Jai Ho actor has had a ‘type’ as far as his heroines on and off screen are concerned. But his tastes seem to be changing with age and maturity, as you will see in his new film…
Daisy Shah, Salman Khan’s heroine in Jai Ho reminds us neither of his ex Aishwarya Rai (now Bachchan) nor of Katrina Kaif. In fact, barring her height, this dusky beauty has nothing in common with any of Sallu’s former girlfriends.

In the past we have often noticed how Sallu has cast actors who resemble or are clones of his lady loves. There was a time when the Dabangg Khan seemed obsessed with lookalikes of his ex-girlfriends, so much so that he promoted them extensively even as he romanced them onscreen. But Salman’s fascination for these girls of a kind – whatever or whoever that ‘kind’ may be – seems to have waned with time… or has it?

Close on the heels of his close pal Aamir Khan, Salman Khan is now all set to create dhoom at the box office with his latest film, Jai Ho. Practically speaking, a Sallu film doesn’t really need a heroine. The bhai of Bollywood is so dumdaar that he can carry any film on his own beefy shoulders, hai na? But it’s nice to see him fall in love and not be heartbroken, so what if it’s only on the big screen, right? And in his much-awaited film, the Being Human star will be seen romancing newbie Daisy Shah, who has a passing resemblance to both Rani Mukherji and Shilpa Shetty, both close friends but not romantic cling-ons of the superstar. While we are not big fans of the former dancer yet – not until we see her acting skills, at least – we are simply glad that she doesn’t remind us of any of Salman’s ex-lovers.

Here’s a look at the ladies who got a chance to enter the competitive world of B-town thanks to Sallu miyaan and to the fact that they resembled some beauty he once dated….  Read More,,,
