Shah Rukh Khan injury not minor, has fractured shoulder

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who was injured on Thursday on the sets of Happy New Year, has been advised complete rest as his injury is far from minor, as reported earlier. 

A source told IANS that Khan went back to the hospital for more tests on Thursday night following which it came out that his injuries were not minor. 

"Shah Rukh went through fresh set of tests last night post the shoot for the injuries he incurred on the sets while shooting yesterday. His right shoulder is fractured and left knee patella is torn. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest for the next two-three weeks," the source told the news agency. 



The Bollywood Badshah was rushed to Nanavati Hospital after suffering an injury on the sets of his forthcoming film Happy New Year. Directed by Farah Khan, the film, which is heavy on dance sequences, saw the actor injured himself while shooting at JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu early on Thursday. Initial reports state that the actor was shooting for a dance sequence when a door fell on him and he hurt his face and head. 

Shah Rukh received a standing ovation for his professionalism from the cast and the crew of 'Happy New Year' as after taking medicines, he returned to the set for shoot. Good friend and filmmaker Farah Khan cancelled the shoot. 

The actor took to Twitter after the accident, "Have a few tests to do & Insha Allah all will be good.Few scars maybe. Will show them off cos as they say there r no scars for happiness." 

Happy New Year is an ensemble film which also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. It is slated to release during Diwali.
