Keira Knightley will make her Broadway debut next year in a new stage adaptation of Émile Zola's classic 1867 novel Thérèse Raquin.
Adapted by British playwright Helen Edmundson and directed by Evan Cabnet, the production will open the Roundabout Theatre Company’s 50th anniversary season.
Although Knightley – who's starred in films such as Anna Karenina and Atonement – hasn't performed on Broadway before, she does have West End experience: in 2009, she appeared in a production of Molière’s The Misanthrope and two years later was in Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour.
