Bollywood's blue- eyed designer Manish Malhotra hosted yet another star- studded fashion show for Lilavati Hospital's ' Save and Empower the Girl Child' event in Mumbai on Wednesday evening.
The initiative, that was first launched in 2012 by the hosipital, is aimed at protecting the girl child from deliberate harm and thus, ensuring her well- being from conception to adulthood.
The couturier rounded an impressive line- up of Bollywood beauties that included Madhuri Dixit- Nene, Malaika Arora Khan, Lara Dutta, Preity Zinta, Evelyn Sharma, Isha Koppikar, Mandira Bedi, Ileana D'Cruz and other models who walked the ramp in elaborate ethnic designs.
Madhuri took the lead in a Christmas- coded red and green embroidered lehenga ensemble. She said, " Let every girl child bloom, flourish and spread her fragrance in this world.
Let us join hands to abolish female foeticide and make this world a better place." While Preity rocked in a green silk lehenga with an embroidered net dupatta , younger divas Evelyn and Isha also looked pretty and fresh in soft pink designer ensembles.
