Nomination papers of former Pakistan President Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf were rejected by the Pakistani Election Commission in Kasur's NA-139 constituency for upcoming general elections.

Pervez Musharraf had filed the nomination papers from four seats- Karachi, Islamabad, Chitral and Kasur. Rejection of his nomination papers was anticipated because of charges that have been cited against him. These charges also include assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
