Emilia Clarke makes some not-so-Glamorous faces

Emilia Clarke makes some not-so-Glamorous !!!

My delicious English muffin Emilia Clarke has a spread in French Glamour this month, looking about as tasty as any meal I've ever had. Nice to see a magazine spread that lets Emilia bring out some of the sweeter, whimsical side she so often has to hide in a lot of her professional work. If you've ever seen her interview, you'll see her as something very different from her GoT character Read More...

Hot or Not: Lea Seadoux !!!

Lea Seadoux !!!

Mixed results applied for last week's Hot or Not, even though most of you seemed to consider topless nudity on a pay cable channel to be enough to determine hotness. I don't know if I'm picking this week's selection because of her role in the la

French women are a blast. Hell, I might not have checked out Léa's copious nudity in the heralded film of 2013, BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR, but I still know that we can always count on a French chick to not be shy with showing the goods. I don't if it's fair to label Americans as being the only uptight people in the world Read More...

Lea Michele looks dead happy in Glamour UK !!!

That "Cannonball" song of Lea Michele is pretty f*cking horrid. But don't worry, it's not as if the singer will have to make a career out of the solo singing thing. She's still beating the grave of her dead exboyfriend, Cory Monteith, her co-star from "Glee" who died of a heroin overdose in July of last year. In an interview with Glamour UK magazine,

Facebook looks to buy solar drone company: Reports

Facebook is in talks to buy Titan Aerospace, a maker of solar-powered drones, to step up its efforts to provide Internet access to remote parts of the world, according to reports from technology blog Techcrunch and financial news outlet CNBC.
Both websites cited anonymous sources who are familiar with the deal and put a purchase price at $60 million.

Facebook spokesman Tucker Bounds said on Tuesday that the company does not comment on rumors and speculation. Titan Aerospace representatives did not respond to requests for comment.

If Facebook does buy Titan Aerospace, the purchase could fit with the goals of CEO Mark Zuckerberg's Internet.org project. The Facebook-led partnership, which includes Qualcomm Inc., Samsung and Nokia, was launched last summer and aims to connect the more than 5 billion of the world's 7 billion people who are not already online. Presumably, Internet.org could use Titan's solar-powered atmospheric satellites to serve as airborne wireless access points.

Google Inc., which is not a part of the Internet.org effort, launched a similar undertaking earlier this year with the goal of getting everyone on Earth online. Called Project Loon, the effort launched Internet-beaming antennas aloft on giant helium balloons.

Titan's drone-like atmospheric satellites, which are still in development and not yet commercially available, can stay in the air for as long as five years, according to reports. Titan's website cites a wide range of uses for the drones, including atmospheric and weather monitoring, disaster response and voice and data communications. The last two could be reasons for Facebook's interest in Titan.

But Zuckerberg said last week at the Mobile World Congress wireless show that access connectivity is not the main obstacle to getting the world online. He said more than 80 percent of the world's population live in areas with 2G or 3G wireless access. More important, he said, is giving people a reason to connect: basic financial services, access to health care information and educational materials.

Facebook's acquisition of a company called Onavo last fall also fits with Internet.org's vision. Onavo develops data compression technology, which helps applications run more efficiently. This is especially important in developing countries, where people have access to much slower Internet speeds.

Nokia X, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2: Big launches at MWC 2014

The Mobile World Congress 2014 saw the launch of three new phones - Nokia's X Series android phones, Samsung's Galaxy S5 and Sony's Xperia Z2. One after the other they hogged the limelight leaving the other brands panting to catch up with them.

Nokia X Android phones
Together, the three variants of Nokia's X series ended up becoming the show stealer at MWC 2014 as it stole the limelight away from Samsung's much awaited Galaxy S5.

The Nokia X, X+ and XL have been priced for 89 euros, 99 euros and 109 euros respectively. Nokia has intentionally priced these phones towards the lower end of the spectrum keeping in mind that these phones shall target the developing markets such as that of India. Considering its price, Nokia's X series is expected to create a dent in the sales of other brands such as Samsung, HTC and Sony.

However, what doesn't go in favour of Nokia's foray into the android market are the specifications of the phones. Nokia's X series phones are neither pure android nor pure Microsoft - though they run on an android platform, Nokia has ensured that the phones' look and feel remains loyal to Microsoft.

Samsung Galaxy S5
The much-awaited smartphone and perhaps the South Korean tech giant's biggest launch in 2014 could not grab the eyeballs like its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S4 had in 2013. Though, the Galaxy S5 was one of the main attractions at the MWC 2014, it was launched without any price tag. Now, the internet is abuzz with its expected price. It is rumoured to be priced less than the Galaxy S4.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is set to hit the market on April 11, 2014.

The successor to Samsung's best seller, the Galaxy S4, as expected, has come with a host of new features and better specifications. Heart-rate monitor and fingerprint sensor are its notable features.

Sony Xperia Z2
Japanese tech firm Sony has also grabbed eyeballs at the MWC 2014 with its latest smartphone--the Sony Xperia Z2.

The Sony Xperia Z2 is set to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 5s. It sports the same 20.7 megapixel camera found in its predecessors, the Z1 and the Z1s. The Xperia Z2 is waterproof, like the Z1 phones, with 5.2-inch screen.

Apart from this, the Xperia Z2 comes with several other features such as noise reduction and 4k video recording.

After four years, Bill Gates regains world's richest title again

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has regained the title of the world's richest man in the Forbes magazine's annual billionaire list that includes 56 India based billionaires led by RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani.
Gates is back at the top spot after a four-year hiatus, reclaiming the title of world's richest person from Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim Helu, who had ranked number 1 for the previous four years.

Gates, whose fortune rose by USD 9 billion in the past year to USD 76 billion, has held the top spot for 15 of the past 20 years.

"After focussing on his philanthropy for years, Gates plans to spend more of his time working with product managers at Microsoft as rivals like Google and Apple continue to outshine the company in the market," Forbes said.

With a networth of USD 18.6 billion, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) chief Mukesh Ambani leads the pack of 56 billionaires based in India featured on the list. His younger brother Anil Ambani is ranked 281st on the list with a net worth of USD 5 billion.
However, Forbes said the richest Indian person has seen "precipitous decline" in his fortune since 2008 when his networth was USD 43 billion and he when was the world's fifth richest person. "Regardless he remains India's richest person and is still bullish; says he plans to invest USD 25 billion in his businesses over the next 2 years," Forbes said.

The magazine also referred to accusations of wrongdoing made against Reliance by Aam Admi Party founder Arvind Kejriwal, who had recently alleged that Ambani is "running the government".

The other Indian billionaires in the list are ArcelorMittal Chairman and CEO Lakshmi Mittal who is ranked 52nd with a networth of USD 16.7 billion, Wipro Chairman Azim Premji ranked 61st with USD 15.3 billion, founder of Sun Pharma Dilip Shanghvi ranked 82nd with USD 12.8 billion, HCL co-founder Shiv Nadar is ranked 102nd and has a net worth of USD 11.1 billion. Hinduja brothers came in at the 122nd with USD 10 billion.

Birla group chief Kumar Birla is ranked 191st and has a networth of USD 7 billion, Forbes said the ranks of the world's billionaires continued to scale new heights and stretched to new corners of the world.

The list has 1,645 billionaires with an aggregate net worth of USD 6.4 trillion, up from USD 5.4 trillion a year ago. The list features a record 268 new ten-figure fortunes, including 42 new women billionaires.

In total, there are 172 women on the list, more than ever before and up from 138 last year.

The year's biggest dollar gainer was Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, whose fortune jumped USD 15.2 billion, to USD 28.5
billion, as shares of his social network soared.

Fans get too close for Baby Doll Sunny Leone's comfort

Sunny Leone's rendezvous with autorickshaw drivers in Mumbai to promote her new film Ragini MMS 2 has reportedly led to an unpleasant incident.

The drive was part of the film's rickshaw branding campaign and while pasting provocative posters of the film on autorickshaws, the former porn star was reportedly manhandled.

" Some assailants gathered at the rickshaw stand where the promotions were on and tried to get too close to Sunny," a source said.

Sunny reportedly confirmed to a leading daily that someone in the crowd tried touching her inappropriately.
" We were doing the promotions and chatting with auto drivers when suddenly things got out of hand. Police had to intervene and remove all those who had crowded the autorickshaw in which Sunny was sitting.

The crowd was banging it and made things difficult," the source added.

The police intervened in the nick of time to bring the situation under control.

At the venue, donning a white and pink top with black tights, Sunny was seen smiling and chatting with the autorickshaw drivers. The actress pasted many a poster on the autorickshaws.
Despite her inability to speak in Hindi, Sunny managed to converse with the curious drivers. A few of them came forward to help Sunny paste the posters that had messages such as " Ragini ka naya MMS dekha kya?" and " Ragini yahan baithi thi". Putting up posters on the side and rear faces of buses, taxis and autorickshaws used to be a popular publicity ploy in the Eighties, since public vehicles travel all around the city.

Ragini MMS 2 producer Ekta Kapoor decided to use the promotional strategy for the spooky thriller to popularise it among the masses.

The actress said someone in the crowd tried to touch her inappropriately during a promotional event for her film Ragini MMS 2.
